Week 10: Measurement, Indices and Indicators of Sustainable Development

 This week, we explored the concepts of measurement, indices, and indicators of sustainable development. Measurements, often referred to as indices, are widely utilized globally to assess economic growth and social well-being. In Malaysia, the Malaysian Shariah Index is employed to evaluate the government's adherence to the principles of maqasid shariah in national administration. Sustainable indicators, on the other hand, are quantitative tools that track and communicate changes, focusing on the sustainable management of economic, social, institutional, and environmental resources. These indicators are categorized into four types: context, input, process, and impact, each offering specific insights into progress based on their nature. WEEK 9: PURRFECT PROVIDER REFLECTS ON JUMUAH PRAYER

      For this week 9 session, atter we hear the recorded lecture, we have come out with an idea that our mosque in IUM is the perfect place to be observe and reflect. It is the place that promotes SDG 17 partnership for goals where the muslims go to the mosque to perform ibadah and at the same time strengthen the unity with another muslims. We divide this sustainability into three main ideas 1. A Place of Unity and Collaboration The mosque brings together people from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of community and mutual understanding. This aligns with SDG 17's emphasis on building partnerships across sectors, cultures, and nations. The inclusive atmosphere encourages dialogues on shared responsibilities for sustainable development. 2.
